The Utah 2020 90-Second Newbery Film Festival: Online Screening!
Hello, Utah! Back in the spring, we had planned to do screenings of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival at the Salt Lake City Public Library, Orem Public Library, and Ogden Treehouse Museum. Obviously, we had to rethink that!
Instead, Utah Humanities has arranged this ALL-UTAH ONLINE screening of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival!
In the hourlong video above, join film festival founder James Kennedy (author of The Order of Odd-Fish) and Keir Graff (author of The Tiny Mansion and many other great books) as we watch the best kid-made 90-Second Newbery videos . . . all of them from Utah! We even open up the show with a brief skit that investigates the mysterious fates of previous participants in the 90-Second Newbery over the past ten years. And there’s singing!
We’re really excited to share these amazing creative kid-made movies of Newbery-winning books. Want to learn more about the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival? Check out our official website at www.90secondnewbery.com. The deadline for submitting movies for next year is January 15, 2021.
In the meantime, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Hey! Want more of co-host Keir Graff? Of course you do! He will be doing an free online event for the King’s English Bookshop, promoting his great new kids’ book The Tiny Mansion, on Thursday, October 8 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. More details here!
